Most people already know they should train.
They know they should move more.
They know they should get stronger.
They know they should eat better.
They know they would feel better if they were more consistent.
Knowing is rarely the problem.
The harder part is knowing where to begin.
Because by the time most people look for help, they are not starting from zero.
They are starting with history.
Old injuries.
Failed gym phases.
Busy work weeks.
Low confidence.
Weight they want to lose.
Strength they used to have.
Habits that keep slipping.
Exercises they avoid without really knowing why.
A body that feels less capable than it should.
So they do what most people do.
They try to restart.
A new plan.
A new app.
A new class.
A new diet.
A new burst of motivation.
Sometimes it works for a few weeks.
Then life gets busy, the plan stops fitting, something starts hurting, progress slows, or the whole thing becomes another thing to feel guilty about.
That does not always mean the person is lazy.
Often, it means the starting point was wrong.
Before someone needs a harder programme, they usually need a clearer read.
Where are you now?
What can your body currently handle?
What are you avoiding?
What are you missing?
What has been getting in the way?
What does your actual week allow?
What would progress need to look like for you to keep going?
That is what this consultation is for.
It is a 45-minute in-person consultation at The Foundry in Paisley.
We will talk through your goals, your training history, your current routine, any injuries or limitations, your work and lifestyle demands, and what you are actually trying to change.
Where appropriate, we may also look at some simple movement, strength, and training-readiness markers.
Nothing performative.
Nothing designed to embarrass you.
Just a practical first look at the things that matter before building a plan.
Because your body is already giving you information.
Stiffness is information.
Pain is information.
Low energy is information.
Avoiding certain movements is information.
Starting and stopping is information.
Feeling unfit during basic work is information.
Not knowing what to do in the gym is information.
The point is not to judge it.
The point is to read it properly and decide what to do next.
For some people, the first step is rebuilding basic strength.
For others, it is improving fitness without overdoing it.
For some, it is body composition.
For some, it is mobility, confidence, structure, or simply learning how to train consistently again.
The answer is not always complicated.
But it should be specific.
This is not a free PT session.
It is not a hard sell.
It is not a generic programme handout.
It is a starting point for people who want to become stronger, fitter, leaner, more athletic, or more consistent — and who are tired of guessing.
If coaching seems like the right fit, I will explain what working together could look like.
If it does not, I will still aim to leave you with a clearer understanding of what you need next.
The goal is simple:
Come in with uncertainty.
Leave with a clearer route forward.
